Hydrogen Center Bavaria

“H2.B – Hydrogen Center Bavaria” (since 2019)

Funded by the Bavarian State Government

Veronika Grimm and Peter Wasserscheid

Hydrogen will play an important role in a climate-neutral industrial society of the future. Due to its high energy density and good storage capacity, hydrogen is predestined to close the gap between volatile renewable energies and energy-intensive applications in the fields of electricity and heat supply, industry and mobility. The diverse applications hold great potential for the industrial production of key components of a future hydrogen economy. Bavaria has identified this potential and created the basis for a sustainable hydrogen economy in research and industry. The Hydrogen Center Bavaria (H2.B) will connect the numerous players from industry, science and politics and help to bring hydrogen to large-scale use – as a central element of global energy transition.
